I am an artist specialising in graphite portraits. My chosen subjects are mainly equine and canine.
Pencil fascinates me.
Its versatility knows no boundaries, through the use of one medium one colour you can render and interpret any texture, feature or tone.
Black and white really allows me to get to the essence, to show emotion, it doesn't sidetrack in the way colour can.
Observation, understanding and determination are the keys to success. The words of Salvador Dali so true: " drawing is the honest of art. There is no possibility of cheating it is either good or bad." |
